“Exceptional”
Great wee Hotel. Enjoyed the bar and ate at the restaurant all good
“Very good”
Well appointed and everything you would expect for 1 star. Actually exceeds exceeds expectation. Evening staff really friendly and helpful Evening meal was lovely with a selection of local olive oils to taste
We were originally told breakfast would be 0830. This was changed to 0915. Fair enough it was a Saturday but we had a long trip after. In the event, no one turned up till 0945 and breakfast was not served till after 1000. If we had known we would have left at say 0830 and got something on the way. This put the whole next evening out.
“nice basic hotel”
Great no-frills hotel. I stayed there for several days while looking for an apartment to rent in the village. All the staff I spoke with were super nice and friendly, particularly the woman who cleans the rooms. The beds were comfortable. I didn't try the restaurant (yet) but the menu was enticing for sure. Close walk to a park with great sunset views, and could continue up the hill to the castle when not in a heat wave.
Very little soundproofing (as is the case with many older hotel buildings in Europe, I've noticed) - for example, one weekend night there was a wedding reception downstairs and I could clearly hear their music even with earplugs in, in my room upstairs. Luckily I like reggaeton so I just danced around in my room! But if I had needed to get to bed early that night it would have been nearly impossible.
