The location is remote and on the outskirts of a little mountain village. Don't expect to easily pop to the shops for provisions! But for us - this was perfect as we had booked the hotel as a base camp location to explore Picos de Europa. The staff were helpful in explaining how to get to our walking start point the next day and also arranged for us to have an earlier breakfast so that we could begin early. The evening before we had a good meal at their restuarant and enjoyed some drinks on the terrace overlooking the mountanous landscape - which we really enjoyes, despite the cloudy weather!

To be improved

The hotel is quite traditional in style, which is not my personal preference but was fine. The pool was a little green on the day we arrived - but we did see others using it happily.

The best

Location and views across the Picos mountains were stunning. The food was good and the staff were very accommodating. Great selection of wine, beer and alcohol at the hotel bar at very reasonable prices.

To be improved

Nothing really although it would have been nice to have had the coffee machine working at breakfast rather than having the buy it at the bar to get a decent coffee. I’m just nip picking though. The breakfast selection was fantastic and fresh.
