“The hotel and its staff met our needs for a well located overnight stay on a long journey”

We were able to get a meal in the cafe before 8.30pm which we liked and the food was made to order and good. Breakfast was also in the cafe and was made fresh to order so also good. The staff were very friendly. There was a free bottle of water each which we liked. The location is perfect for getting on and off the motorway.

To be improved

The bed was rather hard and the room rather small with a very creaky floor and creaky bathroom door. We had to park on the street because the car park lift was too small for our Honda CRV car. However it seemed safe there.

Great location for an overnight stop on the way to Santander. Friendly staff and lovely room

the restaurant was open from 20.30 but when we arrived at 20.45 there were no lights on and no sign of life. Reception had to call to ask them to open up.. We were the only people eating there. There is a set menu which sounded good but unfortunately the asparagus we chose was preserved even though it is in season in Spain and not very pleasant. My husbands pork cheeks were congealed and were probably reheated in the microwave. My veal chop was very rare not the medium I had asked for and both our chips were luke warm. The waitress and chef could be heard discussing the veal and she did return to ask if it was OK but as the rest of the meal would have been cold if they had taken it back to cook more. Unfortunately there are no other restaurants near

“The hotel was very nice and the hotel restaurant was exceptional. · Cons: Unfortunately the mattress was really uncomfortable and we were unable to sleep. It was surprising that the bedding was so bad in such a nice hotel.”

“Nice hotel, a bit outdated.”

Nice and confortable bed. fast check in and check out. Staff was attentive to our requirements of an extra pillow.

To be improved

I asked for an iron and theree was only one for the enitre hotel. We had to wait our turn to use it. It is important to mention that the iron was outdated and didnt worked properly. Also the hair dryer didnt worked well.
