It was close to plaza mayor

They put us in spa mudejar because they were doing repairs and we paid for using the spa but the water in the jacuzzi was not hot, and the sauna and the Turkish bath were not ready either, as if they switched them on just before we went. We didn’t get out money back. There was nobody in the front of the spa and we had to get the towels ourselves. The room key did not work properly during the stay and I had to go down to reception every time.

Technically after booking we got moved to their sister location, the Hotel Spa La Casa Mudéjar “due to construction” at Condes de Castilla. We were okay with it given they were going to honer the original rate which was slightly less than the spa’s rates and we thought it would be fun for the kids to swim. Once we checked in though we found out the spa portion was closed “due to construction”. I understand it’s the off-season but it would have been nice to know ahead of time so we at least didn’t have to lug around our kids swimming suits (we try to pack the absolute minimum). Regardless all okay.
