“Can’t wait to return !”

The best

A lovely characterful hotel in the middle of Seville very close to the cathedral but peaceful after a busy day exploring the city, we found all the staff friendly and very helpful, the rooms were perfectly clean every day with fresh linen, we did not want to stay in a large boutique/spa type hotel and found Hotel Convento la Gloria perfect for our needs and eating with the locals. We would definitely recommend and are planning to return soon to this hotel and this beautiful friendly city.

“$2500 CSD for 4 nights in a room with 2 beds and a cot.”

The best

This hotel cost us $2,500 Canadian for 4 nights. The caregiver for our special needs sun canceled so we brought him to Spain with us. Upon arriving at the hotel the manager told us our room only accommodates two people (Expedia says 3+1) and we need to book a three person room. She also informed us there would be no refund on our first booking as we were canceling on the day of our arrival, so we lost $892 CAD. Tha new 3 bed room cost $1,000 Euros ($1650 CAD) $1650.+$892 =$2542 CAD for 4 nights in a room with 2 beds and a cot. I called Expedia and they weren't any help at all. They said they do not control Hotel pricing. This is my first hotel review. I feel I have no choice but to express how devastated we were by this turn of events. The reception staff showed zero compassion for our situation, offered no alternatives and, in fact, were actually defensive and argumentative. October 2025.

“Fantastic hotel, great location, wonderful staff.”

Wow, I honestly cannot praise this hotel more. It is simply wonderful. I arrived to a warm friendly welcome aroun 8pm, the room was spacious, clean, air conditioned (outside it was still 28 degrees) and perfect. The staff were always so lovely and helpful and smiling. Whether in reception or the rooftop bar. The views from the bar are incredible by the way. The hotel itself is quirky, historic, clean, just fantastic. I loved it here and really hope to go back sometime. Seville is magnificent and for locatoin you couldn't be better placed to explore. The entrance is picturesque too. Genuinely missing it and I recommend it so highly but also in the hope its not full when I want to return. Thank you Hotel Convento La Gloria.

The best

Location was excellent. Moments away from the cathedral, and all the main attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful with a restaurant and bar on site. Building itself was so interesting with lots to discover.

To be improved

A small fridge in the room would be a welcome addition but that is only a minor detail.

Noisy room, lots of loud noise during the night and mornings, no mini bar to keep drinks cool, very simple room, Breakfast very simple and expensive, omelet cold and maybe from the day before. No mirror for the lady
