Staff were described as very friendly and helpful.
Food options were varied and generally well received.
Location is a little out of the way, but suited for those who enjoy walking.
Generally good value for the price, especially with full board.
Pleasant stay overall with notable issues in cleanliness.
Basic amenities available, but some preferences (like kettles) were missing.
“Should not be certified by Acecova not gluten free friendly”
We booked this hotel while the hotel was nice the restaurant staff didn’t understand when my friend asked about what was gluten free, at breakfast eventually when I showed the sign outside about allergy, then all she was given was toast, when asked at the buffet the chefs just shrugged their shoulders, at lunchtime again it was just bread offered went to speak to hotel manager, at dinner eventually got chips first bit of hot food, next day the service was better as the manager was there, so when the manager is there she actually got better food and dinner was better, last breakfast no manager so again no one understood what my friend was asking for, I feel if this hotel was actually certified all restaurant staff should be trained, we chose this hotel as it was certified and when travelling abroad and you have celiac you really have to trust the restaurant. The hotel itself was very nice the rooftop pool was lovely and the other pool across from hotel was nice.
“Hotel Cuco”
Excellent hotel for the price, big and spacious rooms! Food was amazing, enjoyed all the meals I had.
“Enjoyable weekend break, thanks Cuco.”
Nice hotel. Modern and comfortable. Good value for money. Fair walk into old town and an even bigger trek into new town. Were in our 30s so had no issues with the walking. If youre older youd be better suited to something closer to the town. Rooms are paper thin. Could hear others from their room next door coming in from a nice evening out, bit of a pain but once they are in and settled its fine. We were in room 202. Cleaner was in everyday, bedding changed and made. Fresh towels. Would i return, yes... but id be more inclined for something nearer the beach front.
“Ok for price”
Staff could off been friendlier. Entertainment was based for the Spanish more. Yes I know we was in Spain. Did have elvis impersonator just looked normal and still only done 3/4 songs. The rest was Spanish ( not elvis) and didnt start Entertainment till 9.30 & 10.15 so only on an hr or so. But room was ok but balcony lights on 2nd floor didnt work. But was out a lot. If I go again would choose different hotel. Walk to old town was about 15min.
“Mixed view”
Overall a mixed experience. The hotel looks nice and is clean. Reception was helpful although beware you pay 150 euros deposit per room if you are a group (couples checking in at the same time as us were not charged). The rooms were very clean, bathroom was great with a really good shower. Balcony has a ‘pool view’ although it is of the neighbouring hotels pool. Which you can use, however it is surrounded on 2 sides by a hotel so does not get any sun. The rooftop pool was a bit of a joke. Astro turf fitted to the roof with a hotel tub sized pool and no bar. All the loungers in the roof were dated and dirty. The drinks for the all inclusive package were really a massive let down. Beer couldn’t be drunk due to the taste and the cocktails were from a machine and again really difficult to drink. Not marking the hotel down for location, but be aware the new town is a 25 minute walk and old town is about 15. Beach is about 20 (worth a visit, a really clean and tidy beach). Our room was cleaned once in 5 days and we had to ask for new towels. Staff were 10/10, polite and helpful. Will organise taxis etc and helpful with directions. The food was similar to the drinks, the basics were ok but the paella, meats, fish etc are best avoided as they caused us all to feel ill. This doesn’t feel like a typical beach holiday hotel, more a boutique set up for a city break. Overall I wouldn’t return but cannot praise the staff and cleanliness enough. The hotel is a lot more clean than Benidorm itself anyway!
“A lovely hotel not central but not too far out”
Went here for 2 days for new years eve, I was really impressed with this hotel, We stayed full board and the variety of food available was really impressive, The room was clean and spacious, We didnt have a balcony so there was no view out the window apart from a white brick wall with a extractor flu, A longer stay this might be a concern to others but we were fine with it, The hotel is not in a central location so its nice and quiet, We dont mind walking and benidorm is flat so again wasnt a issue for us, The manager and staff were really polite and willing to help to any ones needs, They put on a newyears eve party with outstanding food and drink including entertainment free of charge,
