Hotel Derby Sevilla

The location of the Hotel Derby Sevilla is ideal. Central to many excellent restaurants and things to see/do. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and comfortable for three people.

Really sad to write this as I never need to complain but I’ve tried emailing the hotel regarding this incident and been very much ignored. We stayed a few weeks back as a family for mine and my son’s birthdays, and during our stay we had an incident which involved part of the ceiling collapsing down in to our room. This was at 8.30pm, we were in the room with our 2 year old and this almost fell on him which was outrageous. It was a heavy piece of wood and my son would have needed urgent medical attention had he been 2ft closer. It caused scratches on our child’s pushchair and anxiety about the safety of the place. My partner went to reception to complaint however we had no help, just given another room and moved at 9pm, without any help, a tired 2 year old and not one member of staff checked on us after. Had I been able to afford it I would have moved hotels due to the lack of communication, not any apologies, it was left to management who did NOTHING. No discount or a single offer of anything complimentary as a kind gesture. I do hope this is dealt with as it was extremely unsafe and left us feeling anxious during our next 2 nights of staying. I wish we had a familiar place to come back to on our next stay in Seville, however, I doubt we will be back.

Really a nice place to stay. Surprisingly good breakfast. Central position, "14 minutes" to every sight. The only minus, it took them 3 days to fix the shower curtain which crashed during first time usage.

Lovely clean hotel close to all bars & restaurants, no bar but there is a place on the 4th floor where you can drink if you wish, very close to aldi if you need anything. There is some parking close by which offers reduced price for hotel guests.

The hotel is located right in the center of Seville, making most attractions and monuments within about a 15-minute walk. The rooms are spacious, clean, and fully equipped. A special compliment goes to the housekeeping staff, who even cleaned our room in the evening. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. On the fourth floor, there's a spacious roof terrace, which seems like a great place to spend time, especially in the spring (it was too chilly this time). The hotel is located above an Aldi, which makes grocery shopping very easy. The only minor complaint is that hallway noise does penetrate the room, but it's so infrequent that it's not bothersome. All in all, a very pleasant hotel to stay at. (We didn't use the restaurant, so we can't comment on it.)

This is my third stay at the Derby Sevilla. I love the location, the comfort, the kindness of the staff, the hearty breakfast, all at a very affordable price. I'll be back!
