Hotel Don Paco

I’m extremely disappointed with the level of customer service and lack of basic consideration shown by this hotel. I made a booking through Booking.com for 10 May 2026, but accidentally selected April instead of May, resulting in a booking for 10 April 2026. As soon as the booking was confirmed, I immediately contacted Booking.com to correct what was clearly an honest mistake. They advised that the hotel simply needed to approve the date adjustment. This was not a change of plans or a cancellation—it was a straightforward error in selecting the wrong month. Despite clearly explaining this multiple times, the hotel refused to cooperate. I made approximately six phone calls to Booking.com and also contacted the hotel directly twice, trying to resolve the issue. Throughout the process, I was reasonable and flexible—I even offered to keep the full payment of $285 AUD, despite the current room rate dropping to $149 AUD, and asked only for the date to be corrected. Even with this, the hotel showed zero willingness to assist or make any exception. There was no empathy, no understanding, and no effort to help resolve a very simple issue. This experience has been frustrating and disappointing. A small act of consideration could have easily resolved this, but instead, the rigid and unhelpful response has left a very negative impression. I would not recommend this hotel based on their poor customer service and lack of flexibility.

Location was central and practical

Reception staff were really helpful.

Very quiet, good service from all staff. Very comfortable bed and clean. Very good breakfast choice and great coffee. Pool area nice but didn’t have time to use it. 15 minute walk to cathedral,

Good hotel, very clean, the staff are really helpful and friendly. Excellent buffet breakfast with everything you could want and more. Reception booked tickets for the Alcázar for us which is well worth a visit, about 15 minute walk from the hotel. Plenty of bars and restaurants plus tapas bars around the hotel, 5 minute walk to the mushroom

Easy walk to town to visit the cathedral and Royal Alcazar. I ate buffet breakfast. Cafes & restaurants nearby to sample dinner in the evening. Nearby is "the mushroom structure" The 6th floor was lovely after a dayout to sit and relax. There are 2 sun terraces; a swimming pool & sun loungers; and plants. Lovely views of the city.
