“Gran Meliá Fénix Madrid Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
Amazing stay! Minor AC issue in room but was quickly fixed by moving us to another room. Huge thanks to Alejandro, the front desk, bell staff, driver, and the Red Level Lounge kitchen/waitress team for making everything perfect. The hotel’s location was unbeatable — walking distance to Plaza de Colón, El Prado Museum, Retiro Park, and the luxury shops of Calle Serrano. Only small note: AC fan was a bit noisy, but overall an excellent experience!

Hotel service was excellent, amenities and room was a little out-dated for my like but the service made up for it. Santiago was also super helpful!
“Things that should not happen at a 5 star hotel”
- the restaurant with music/nightclub that is connected to the hotel should not be thumping music after midnight. When I called front desk, the manager insisted on entering my room to verify the noise (highly intrusive when already in bed with my partner!). The hotel should either constrain the music or not use the rooms above it on the first floor (like mine). The manager shrugged it off that "it is on our property but we cannot control it." -when experiencing a problem with trying to book the promotional offer to get an Audi the front desk was useless and referred me to the app which did not function properly on my phone. 3 people shrugging their shoulders while staring at my phone. It was pitiful to behold. Why could they not have done this manually and secured the reservation for me? But behold, after finally processing the request and 24 hours of waiting for Audi to respond, the request was denied for lack of an international drivers license (not required of US drivers to rent a car in Europe. So why?) Melia needs to "own" the problems with Audi not just say that it is out of their control. The problems with the process outweigh the benefit of the offer. The hotel would be better to sever the relationship with Audi than create the unpleasantness of process.
“First class start to finish”
First class from arrival to check out. Staff was warm and friendly and helpful. Room was very nice, location was great. Purposely away from the very touristy areas but close enough to walk to everything. The food was excellent and overall it was a top notch experience.
