Verified reviews from real guests who have already stayed here.
The staff was noted as friendly and helpful, though understaffed during peak times.
Beautiful location, though some mentioned it was in a state of decay, the setting itself was described positively.
Breakfast was noted but lacked variety; some reported meals as satisfactory.
Despite various issues, some guests found tranquility and charm in the hotel, indicating a mixed overall experience.
Value perception is mixed; while the location and ambience are appreciated, cleanliness and service issues detracted from the overall value.
Amenities are present but suffered from lack of maintenance and issues, such as poor pool hygiene.
“Cheap hotel - about the worst I've found in Europe or USA.”
The price was the only good thing about this hotel - so I guess you get what you pay for!
The sweaty (drunken?) man who checked us in, refused to acknowledge the significance of a dog yelping intermittently in a nearby room ("nobody has dogs here") and refused to change our room ("we are fully booked"). We were not allowed to use the open-air swimming pool (I didn't quite understand the reason give) even though it was being used by a group of young men playing football on the grass beside the pool. Found a decent bar/restaurant for dinner about 5km east at Posada el Montanes near Villanueva (the dining area at hotel was noisy with loud music, children etc. Breakfast was coffee and a toasted piece of baguette with some butter & jam - so we hit the road asap.
“A disappointing stay with more style than substance—great idea, but poorly maintained and misreprese”
The idea of sleeping in a bubble tent was intriguing, and the setting offered a peaceful, private atmosphere. We appreciated the breakfast delivery directly to our tent’s yard—it was a nice touch. Stargazing could be amazing on a clear night (unfortunately, we had clouds).
The outdoor pool, which was included in our booking, was completely empty and not in use. Access to the jacuzzi, which was also supposed to be included, was offered at an extra charge by the host. The bubble tent we upgraded to for an additional €50 was clearly worn down—air hissed through gaps, it had multiple patches, and the furniture inside was old and in need of replacement. The fenced yard around each bubble was in poor condition, and the experience became unbearable once the sun came up due to the intense heat and lack of ventilation. Noise insulation is nonexistent; we were kept up by a very loud and intimate couple in the bubble next to us. Overall, it seems like this place mainly serves as a discreet getaway for short romantic encounters rather than a quality accommodation experience.
“Great place to relax and enjoy the location.”
The Finca is located in a fantastic area and nature. I enjoyed walking through the landscape. The personal is very friendly.
“Excellent Location. Charming Traditional Hotel. Great parking. Friendly Helpful Staff. Christian was so welcoming and helpful. Lovely dining room and bar, very good breakfast. Off the beaten track, but, well worth the journey. · Cons: Coffee/Tea making facilities in the room would add to an overall very pleasant experience.”
