Hotel Fuerte Grazalema

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel for a week. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt completely 'at home' during our stay. The room was very clean with a nice big comfy bed and in the bathroom a very nice powerful over the bath shower with plenty of hot water. We went out every day visiting many of the nearby villages and enjoying all the activities the area has to offer such as walking, cycling, horse riding etc. We had booked half board and every meal we had from the breakfast to the evening meal was fantastic with lots of local fresh produce available. There was always plenty of choice on the buffet for both breakfast and the evening meal. It was also lovely to return to the hotel after our day out and spend time having a coffee or a beer and relaxing on the panoramic balcony overlooking the valley. When we told reception that we would need to leave at 6am on the day of departure for our flight home we asked if it would be possible for them to leave us out a pastry or something similar to take with us. We were told that they would order us a 'picnic' which could be collected at 6am when we left and it was there ready waiting for us with a very nice selection of food which we really enjoyed. All of the staff from reception, restaurant, bar and cleaners were always very friendly and accommodating during our entire stay with a special mention for Paco who was always there bringing us some much needed refreshments at the end of our day. We can thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for great, clean, friendly accommodation in a beautiful setting.

Amazing property. Beautiful and peaceful!

Hotel is set in beautiful surroundings, and it’s assets are the staff and cleanliness. However, I would say this is a solid 3 star hotel rather than a 4 star, that is best suited for families rather than couples. When we visited there were a LOT of children in a very small space and you are rather on top of one another. Disappointing that they let children in the hot tub when no-one under 12 years old is supposed to go in there - even the adult spaces seemed to be dominated by children, which takes away from the peacefulness of the place. Breakfast buffet is good, lots of choice and freshly made crepes and omelettes. Town is a short drive away - would recommend a car. BBQ poolside for lunch is exceptional - delicious meats and cocktails. A nice hotel, more like 3 stars suitable for families that’s clean and safe - but go elsewhere if you’re a couple wanting some quiet time 🙂

Absolutely amazing stay in a fabulous hotel! We came here 3 years ago and this is the first hotel that we have ever returned to! It is a beautiful location, set amongst the hills and over looking the mountainous and beautiful village of Grazalema. The staff work so hard and are so friendly, going above and beyond to deliver a top service. The food is a particular highlight, cooked fresh with many options available. There is plenty to do at the hotel: pool, jacuzzi, table tennis and cycling but the car park is free and there are many lovely places worth visiting nearby like Ronda and Grazalema. You can also walk to Grazalema if you haven't got a car.

Excellent customer service from all hotel staff, very clean hotel, good fresh variety of food served daily, good parking facilities. the hotel is situated remotely away from any city with easy excess by car to Ronda (nearest beautiful historical city). The hotel has great views and access to plenty of places for cycling , trekking etc. Highly Recommended as an alternative to a beach holiday. Thanks
