The best

The swimming pool is what made the difference between Gran Playa and the rest of the Santa Pola hotels.

To be improved

Confusing instructions on breakfast. Most of the staff said you can choose a buffet breakfast at €12 each or a simple coffee and pastry at around €4 which we did untill one of the waiting staff took this as a big no no and I was not very impressed the way he handled it. Also on the website the distances to the beach was a bit inaccurate and there were no other proper facilities unless you took a taxi, which were very scarce, into Santa Pola itself.

The best

The staff were lovely, very friendly. The gentleman on reception let us check in early and upgraded our room. We had a lovely view of the pool and salt lake at the back, which had Flamingos on. The room was spacious and comfy. All spaces had aircon and underground carpark kept the car cool.

To be improved

The only snag was the walk into the centre of santa pola, which wouldn't have bothered us normally, but extreme temperatures, made it a killer,

The best

Staff were very friendly and was a lovely hotel. Don't be put off by 3 stars, it was very nice and clean. Breakfast had great selection and lots of options. Couple of blocks to the lovely beach
