To be improved

Breakfast! Only croissants, few slices ham and cheese, cereal. No fresh fruit, no hot food. On the other side of road is another hotel, which had a fabulous restaurant. Food exceptional.

The building and setting beautiful . Breakfast limited but adequate.

To be improved

Heatwave and there was absolutely no air conditioning . Booked and paid for a suite for 2 nights but it was not available on arrival . Offered us to move next day but suite was even hotter than room we stayed in - unbearably hot .

“Great location, great architecture and a real sense of calm. easy to find and although we stayed here on our way back from Southern Spain because our first choice was fully booked, I wasn't disappointed to do so. · Cons: Language barriers are more pronounced here, and as such,h the staff, especially in the restaurant came over as sullen and unhelpful. The opening times for the restaurant were unclear, the reception was not very helpful, and the bar staff were the same. I am always hesitant to complain about language barriers, as it is their country and I don't speak much Spanish, but my overriding view is that hotel staff should be able to communicate with different nationalities as a basic requirement.”

“We shall return as it was so relaxing for our overnight stop on the way to Santander for the ferry.”

Spacious,quiet and very relaxing. On site parking. It has a bar and restaurant but there is the added bonus of another bar and restaurant across the road.

To be improved

Air con not working but they brought us a fan. Normally wouldn’t be a problem but it was an Exceptionally hot time.
