“Staff member entering room unannounced”
Don’t stay here. Hotel room was fine. However, we had staff members enter our room without knocking or announcing themselves between 8:30-9:30 am. Both times I was just coming out of the shower. The people entering the room did not have cleaning items with them so I am unsure of the reason for entry other than seeing if there were any valuables. I popped my head out of the door immediately both times and the person was gone, hallway empty. I spoke to the front desk the first time it happened and got a “sorry” and a “free drink” ticket (which I did not use). The second time I spoke to them again and the woman just shrugged. Don’t stay here.
“Super chic Miró and 1992 Olympics-inspired Hotel!”
Whether you’re in Barcelona for art, architecture, or the vibrant Catalan lifestyle, Hotel Indigo Barcelona Plaza España delivers an experience that is as visually stimulating as it is comfortable. It’s cool and a new way of experiencing luxury. For a stay that truly feels like part of the city’s cultural tapestry, this Miró-inspired gem is hard to beat. It's fun, cool and young! Breakfast is amazing and staff are attentive and truly fantastic. Recommended for its location, artistry and food options! The best!
“Issues that would prevent me returning”
The hotel is nice. It has a hipster vibe and gives a good first impression. However, my brother was in a suite that is on the side of the hotel which faces a night club. It was a Saturday night and at about 4 a.m. he was woken by people gathering outside the club partying and yelling. This went on for a good hour. I was in another room, which was quiet. However, when I got into the bed, all sorts of beads, like from a broken bracelet, fell from the bed to the floor. Made me wonder how the bed linens could have possibly been cleaned. When we mentioned these issues to the front desk person at check out, including giving him some of the beads for clarity, he acted as if we hadn't spoken at all and thanked us for staying. No apology or commitment to look into the issues. There are too many other options for a future stay in Barcelona.
“A truly special stay”
A truly special stay. The hotel felt cosy, warm, and beautifully unique, with a design that made it genuinely unforgettable. The attention to detail really stood out, especially the high-quality coffee machine in the room, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch. Breakfast was perfect, offering a great variety and delicious, well-prepared options, with some additions personally made just for us that made the experience feel extra special. On top of it all, the hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from all the city’s major amenities, making it both inspiring and incredibly convenient.
“Very nice place to stay in Barcelona!”
Close to España metro station and bus station. The room was very clean and comfy, the staff was friendly and helpful and there was even an clothing iron in the room!
We liked everything!
“Nice enough for Barcelona”
Good free refillable water. Close to the Palace of Catalonian Arts and Montjuic. A fair price for Barcelona. Room was clean with nice teas and coffees offered. Decent staff.
A bit far from major attractions or nice bars. Room a bit small and a bit cold at night thanks to the AC.
