“Everything was perfect”
The best

Everything was excellent. Even the Wi-Fi worked spot on. We had problems with door entry and access cards, but these were immediately attended to by the on site manager, who made sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. The air-con was superb and was a greatly appreciated in a hot July. Parking is safe immediately outside the premises, and opposite the local police station! The adjacent bar restaurant provides superb evening meals and breakfasts and the nearby store and petrol station mean that everything is available at your fingertips. If you have time to take in the nearby scenery, it is well worth spending a few hours in the nearby mountains of Urbasa.

Avoid this budget hotel - there are far better in nicer locations. We booked it for a 1 night stop on the way down from France into Portugal. I booked and paid for 2 rooms for my family of 4. You check in yourself electronically on arrival (there is an English option) but we were only given 1 room key. I did call the hotel owner but they only spoke Spanish so sent them numerous messages instead (in Spanish) for another key but they didn't respond so I ended up sleeping on the floor. Altasua is ok. Its an interesting town, pretty much deserted except for the bars, where the locals gather. No one speaks English so communicating was an issue
