Hotel Jauregi Borda

Lovely building, lovely rooms, lovely staff.

Amaiur Maya is a small secluded village nestling on some pretty steep slopes and facing really delightful views . It’s beautiful , peaceful and well with a visit - as is this hotel . To be honest I’m not sure if it’s an old building completely refurbished or a brand new one built exactly to imitate and compliment the style of the other houses , mansions and ‘palaces ‘ that comprise every other building , ancient or modern in the village . Whatever its heritage it is immaculate throughout and every public room , corridor and bedroom is absolutely of the highest quality in terms of fittings , decorations and furniture . The bedroom is large and comfortable and the ensuite pristine . Everything is so immaculate and clean you’d be forgiven for thinking we were the first person to stay here . The hotel appears the only plse to eat in the village . The menus offer some choice and are reasonable priced . There are numerous restaurants and cafe options in the next village south about 8km away.

Everything, the room was amazing, the bed very big and comfy, the hosts exceptionally friendly. Located in a beautiful little town, 10 mins away from Elizondo, the main city of the valley.

The hoteliers were very nice and welcoming. The hotel is excellent and food in the restaurant was perfect. We went early Feb and while cold outside the rooms were heated and very comfortable.

Comfy hotel with aircon, in a nice village. Good breakfast, but evening meal could be better..
