“Won't be back”
Hotel was bit out the way of the front cant really complain about that travel agent messed up on that but the food was discusting paid for bed a d breakfast that I didn't have . Food wasn't covered or heated constantly. Added photo what I had on day one only had one mouth full had to spit out as was cold and underdone I complained to reception kept saying to me no understand and didn't see a holiday rep .. won't be going here again . Plus suppost to have same rooms as my friend he had sunny view I had shade all day
“Very nice”
Me and six friends stayed for the benidorm fiestas for four nights. The hotel is in a great location, a 15-minute walk to the new town and old town and 10 minutes to the beach. Check inn was very slow but the staff were friendly. Our room 711 was a good size with a double and single bed. With a bath and shower over it. Definitely no soundproof in the room as you can here conversations from next door. Our friends toilet stopped working and they reported it and it was never fixed. We would stay here again .
“Disappointing”
Hotel itself ok. However, you can hear guests in other rooms as no sound proofing. No fridge in room which I've not experienced before even in budget hotels. While towels changed and bed made, cleaning not up too standard. The bar seemed understaffed and even then they weren't very customer friendly. Had too wait ages as tables being cleared took priority. While you can't stop the rain falling, you can ensure maintenance to avoid leaks into the restaurant and bar area.
“Wonderful hotel”
Brilliant hotel, peaceful & quiet which is what we was looking for. Staff were lovely rooms cleaned everyday with fresh towels. 2 lifts to choose from, games area, ballroom, pool with jacuzzi. Levante beach is 10 minutes walk away. There's also a little hut around the pool that serves soft drinks, snacks, alcohol & food. Would definitely go back.
“Definitely worth stopping”
I recently stayed here during Benidorm gay pride, I know Benidorm very well as I’ve previously lived there it’s proximity to both new and old town is unmatched just a 10 minute stroll to both. Aircon blows cold in the rooms PERFECT! And the service was brillant, a special shout out to Cesar who was lovely! The rooms were clean, but a little tired and dated! But comfortable beds and perfectly clean with good aircon is all you need Decent size balcony and a nice pool area! Definitely worth staying here! I have already booked for next years pride
“A happy stay at Hotel Joya!”
We loved our stay at this hotel. All of the staff were fantastic and very helpful including the reception, bar, restaurant, and the cleaners. It has a Spanish feel and we tried to speak our limited Spanish when possible which we like to think was appreciated! The staff at the reception area spoke clear English and were always able to answer any queries we had. The public areas of the hotel were nicely presented and the pool was a great place for our young son to improve his swimming. There isn't much of a shallow end and it isn't the biggest of pools but the water was pleasantly cool and it was perfect for our needs. There was a small issue in people leaving towels on a limited selection of sunbeds and not returning to them for hours. The hotel could possibly look at an allocated sunbed system. There were also a few people smoking/vaping around the pool despite the clear 'no smoking signs'. I thought the quality and choice of food in the restaurant was excellent. It's mainly Spanish, but there are mainstream choices to cater for other nationalities as well. It wasn't really a place to linger over a bottle of wine, cocktail or cerveza but the bar downstairs is a more suitable place to head for drinks in a lively environment. My only issue was the soundproofing of the rooms when fellow hotel guests arrived back in the early hours. There was a lot of shouting and slamming of doors which woke us up for a few nights of our stay. Perhaps the doors could have a quieter closing mechanism or there could be a few polite signs asking guests to please be considerate of others. The hotel is situated in a great position in Benidorm and is a short and interesting walk to either the Levante beach area or the Old Town. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel Joya.
