The best

Newly built hotel with very friendly staff. The breakfast was not included but you can easily have a nice breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Parking was always available in front of the hotel. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars.

The best

A pleasant established hotel, ideally located for our 2 night stay. Very friendly and efficient staff. Excellent sized room, suitably furnished including 2 large double beds & a well maintained bathroom with all the facilities including a large walk in shower. Convenient access for all our festival activities in a safe and friendly town. We already knew the area but Maps and information provided by the hotel reception were an added bonus when the Tourist Office was closed.

To be improved

Due to the Easter Festivities, it was difficult to find restaurants that were open in the evening. Unfortunately the Hotel restaurant was fully booked during our stay, something we hadn’t realised that there might be a need to book before our arrival. The small roof terrace was also occupied with prior bookings. Not a big issue, but for some reason the room safety deposit boxes didn’t work, however reception did offer an alternative solution.

The best

I chose this hotel for its location, excellent reviews and the fact it had a restaurant. It was superb. The dinner was excellent and our waitress went to great trouble to explain the menu. The receptionist, Julian, grandson of the original owner was most welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

“It was ok for sleep but nothing else. It was very disappointing. The restaurant staff were very nice to me”

The location was perfect

To be improved

The shower was not working properly, I didn’t have enough shampoo or body shower. Also on my second day in the room , one of the staff opened the door when I was in bed. And I didn’t get any notice or apology.
