Hotel La Oficina

We arrived at the time we had advised the host in advance that we would be there, and we were greeted with an unreachable host. Over the next few hours we tried to contact them by phone, by Whatsapp, by email, without response. We then tried contacting Booking.com for help, we sat on hold on the phone for ages, tried emailing them without any response. We even tried the business across the road from the unit and we're told how this is a regular occurrence. After waiting and trying for several hours we gave up and had to book another hotel at an added expense. When we returned to our home country I contacted my credit card company, to dispute the charge and after their investigation was informed that they had lied saying they had rendered their services. WARNING to other travellers avoid this place !!!

No door code given at outset, no telephone answer, empty shower gel, roadside room curtains not great, not 100% close to evade light but had to use as pavement next to bedroom window. Maybe a blind? Power socket broken (next to bathroom) hence phone didn’t charge and we didn’t notice as needed to leave early. Not useful for a long day of travel.

The smell from the drains in the bathroom was terrible....just like Sewage. So disgusting... I missed Tea in the room.

A more detailed description of the surrounding area and the fact that there was nowhere to get any food within 7 miles. I had to call a taxi to go anywhere as there were no buses or shops anywhere local. I left the hotel after one night and moved to another location.

Was a little remote and the restaurant/bar downstairs was closed, so nowhere to go. Recommend taking some food and drink if you don't have transport to visit nearby towns. Difficult to get to without car - we got a lift from a bar owner in nearby San Miguel!
