“The worst lodging experience I’ve ever had”
To be improved

We booked this hotel for its convenient location. At check-in, we were informed that the keys would be available at the front desk upon our return, and that reception operated 24 hours a day. However, when we returned around 11pm, the hotel was completely locked. There was no one at the reception, and all attempts to contact staff, by knocking on doors and windows, using the intercom, and calling multiple times were unsuccessful. We walked around the building searching for any access point or sign of assistance, to no avail. In desperation, I was about to call the police when a staff member finally appeared and let us in. It became clear that we were the only guests on the property. This was, without a doubt, the worst lodging experience I’ve ever had. It is unacceptable for a property with such lack of basic service and safety to be listed on Booking, a platform that claims to offer trustworthy and quality accommodations.
