Hotel Landaben

New hotel. Very clean. Nice beds.

This was towards the end of my 11 week solo motorcycle tour of Spain / Portugal because my panniers leak all my belongs are in two heavy duty rubble sacks. Despite looking a bit like a tramp in a motorcycle jacket the young guy at reception (who also always seems to do loads of other things as well) saw I was struggling and opened the door and called the lift for me. Another day I arrived in a thunderstorm and he already had the open so I could dash right in. He knew my first name every day (although to my shame I can't remember his name). The room is huge which means you don't have the usual issue of your headboard being again the same wall as the next rooms headboard (mine was against the outside wall). You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner here - They understandably have to also cater for workers on the industrial estate but I was perfectly fine. The meals were good (and good value) and there was an English menu. Huge shower that could most probably fit three (I didn't get any takers!). Secure parking. I didn't look as to what businesses were in the area but there wasn't that much noise.

Clean and modern rooms.

Huge room, very tidy and comfortable. Staff were very accomodating and friendly.
