“Clean, basic, functional but a little bit spooky”
Check in closes at 7.00pm. So if you arrive after then you need to book yourself in via a screen outside the hotel. In theory this is should be easy. In practice it is a bit difficult especially when you are tired, hungry and it's dark. Booking numbers don't always work - it can be a bit frustrating. You'll need your passport, credit card and some patience. Once you're in the hotel, it is very nice. Strange not to have any staff around, it felt very unnatural for a hotel. There is a telephone number for a night time call assistance. The rooms are of a good size, clean bathroom, albeit a bit small. The beds are comfy and there are several pillows available if needed. No restaurant facilities were available in the hotel but a short walk into town gives you several options. Parking outside the hotel, whilst not 100% secure it is better than parking on the street. Good value and a good location for the town.
“Nice basic hotel, but bad air conditioning”
We were on the third floor and stayed for one night. The ac was not good. Otherwise hotel was clean and wifi worked but only from the lobby . Staff was nice and gave us a good recommendation for a local restaurante which was great. I would stay here again if the ac worked better.
“A fine sleep in a funky old town”
This is a clean, fresh, modern little hotel on the edge of Zafra, a little-known jewel of a town in a Spanish backwater. The rooms are spotless, the beds firm, showers hot. The architect went a bit "over the top" in designing the atrium, but in a funny, fun sort of way. (Sadly, it blocks wifi signals from some of the rooms.) The location is fine for people in decent shape. The superb downtown area is a couple of blocks away, and the hotel itself is right on the little ring-road that surrounds it, offering excellent and easy access to the highways. The price is right! My only issue was the reception -- we arrived late afternoon and no one was at the desk. An automated check-in kiosk in the doorway was incomprehensible, and it took a good 10 minutes for someone to notice we´d arrived.
