Convenient for the town. It's good to have the parking. Close to good cafes as well. Suits us as a good stop over.

Location was excellent.

Felt dark and oppressive. The room was clean but very shabby, the bathroom especially, this Hotel from what I saw needs some serious time and money throwing at it. The outside terrace was closed so can’t comment on that. They refused to do breakfast so can’t comment on how good or not that would have been. Word of caution too, there was no mention of costs involved in parking my bike in the basement car park at check-in, that was only said when it came to check-out, which I found appalling. I’ve re read the listing on booking.com and im still unable to see anywhere that says there is a charge! Apologies if I’ve missed it.

The best

Fabulous central location for wandering around the sites, bars and restaurants, all in easy walking distance. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. All in good working order but could do with modernising, maybe this is part of the charm. Very friendly and helpful staff. In the winter months there is a lovely open fireplace downstairs.
