The staff is described as friendly and helpful.
Great location close to the train station.
Good value for the location and services provided.
Mixed experiences, but generally positive.
Amenities noted included extensive breakfast options, but some gym equipment needs renewal.
Breakfast variety is good, though dining area is small.
“Dirty and tired rooms and disturbed sleep”
This was booked on my behalf for a business trip and I would never return. On the bright side, the reception staff were very pleasant and the location is good. However, the rooms are tired and not very clean and in desperate need of an update. Both nights my sleep was disturbed- once by people trying to enter my room and on the second night, the noise until 0230 on the first floor was totally unacceptable. A horrible stay
“Stay elsewhere, Ive stayed in better hostels.”
Hotel was hard to find at first, however the Charmartin train station is been renovated at present and its hard to find your way about. Hotel is situated beside residential accomadation which also through us. We were looking for a building that resembled a hotel. Room is very basic, matress old, pillows and towels both smelled stale. We were a couple, hotel supplied one bottle of water and only one bath towel. No coffee facility. No bathroom extras, ie shower cap. No vanity mirror, I wear contacts, its important to me. At 10pm we ask for a sandwich, kitchen closed they offered uber eats. The following morning, the cleaning lady knocked once and walked in, we were still asleep. I shouted. Breakfast was ample however, eggs, bacon, mushrooms and tomato all cold. Hot water from coffee machine, cold. So to sum it up, we travel a lot, I wouldnt leave a bad review unless I felt there was room for improvement. We only had one night in Madrid, this hotel spoiled our experience off this part of Spain. There are hundreds of hotels in Madrid, we choose this one as it had easy access to train station. Do yourselves a favour, stay in town and use public transport which is very reasonable. Our room had a pool view, one photo attached.
“We were satisfied and we will try to come back and recommend this hotel to others.”
Very good service and polite service. Nice comfortable
more sun loungers and umbrellas and more greenery and tables outside and more music.
“I will try to avoid staying there again”
Just the location
Everything else than the location. The hotel looks old, the rooms are not clean enough and the bathroom it's really old style and it was not clean at all
“Avoid Hotel Madrid Chamartin - Not Up to Melia Standards”
I stayed at Hotel Madrid Chamartín expecting the quality and comfort typically associated with Meliá Hotels. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and far below expectations. The condition of the hotel was unacceptable: • Hallway carpets were filthy and lighting was dim, creating an unwelcoming and unsafe environment. • The guest room had a broken toilet seat, cracks and holes in the ceiling, damaged drapes, and a dirty remote control. • The pool area, visible from the room, looked neglected and unclean. Photos were taken to document these issues and are attached to this review. After just one night, I checked out early due to the poor conditions. Hotel management was unavailable to address concerns, as they reportedly only work weekdays. I relocated to another Meliá property—INNSiDE by Meliá Madrid Valdebebas—which was the complete opposite: clean, modern, and welcoming. The staff there were professional and helpful, providing the level of service one would expect from the Meliá brand. Despite leaving early, I was charged for the full four-night stay at Chamartín and had to pay again for the new hotel, resulting in double charges for overlapping dates. When I contacted Meliá customer service, the response I received from their representative was dismissive and made no effort to resolve the issue. ⚠️ Strong Warning: This hotel felt more like a run-down hostel than a four-star property. The online description is misleading, and the lack of accountability is concerning. I plan to escalate this matter to Meliá Hotels International Corporate Office, but in the meantime, I’m sharing this review to help others avoid the same mistake.
“Son's Birthday”
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Great location, 2 minutes walk from the metro station. Clean room, good breakfast with a wide variety of food, buffet service. Selection of restaurants & supermarket within a 5 minute walk. Ideal location for a short break.
