Hotel Marconi

We booked this hotel direct and got Superior Front Facing rooms at great price

Where to start , e mailed hotel two weeks prior to getting there never had reply e mail . Given worse room ever over looking wall and large vent duct no view unless looked up and see sky . Went to reception told come back tomorrow get see view which asked for in e mail . Told none available so just lied to be man who hardly spoke English first day. Spoke few other English and they same thing ms no balcony or view . Seems look after own as from what saw and heard all Spanish on sea view and side with balconies. Glad only did 3 nights wouldn’t send my dog there

Absolutely horrendous, building work was happening, food was t. Horrible, staff ignorant and the view we had was of someone’s house in the back alleys. Pool was as big as a kids pool but was shut .. a catfish holiday? Pictures didn’t fit what we walked in to

Brilliant time thank you so much, staff so friendly and really looked after me as a solo traveller they made me feel so safe.

POSITIVES, clean comfy spacious room comfy bed and nice roof terrace NEGATIVES We arrived at 2.30pm. No welcome at all, just given room cards and told 3rd floor. Called to reception as we didnt have any towels bathmat or toilet paper, we were told to go to reception and fet it ourselves swimming pool bot open bar not open Resturant was tiny due to work going on. It looked like a 1970 factory canteen/ obstacle course. One night it was full we were told by a very miserable waitress to get our food and eat it in reception. Food had no labels at all and often cold. Although we had 7 nights half board we only are in 2 mornings and 2 evenings. Not suitable for english guests modlst staff barely spoke it, and one waiter didnt speak it at all. We had to write our room number down on paper so he could book us in. For the whole 7 days on one staff member even smiled at us let alone speak.

Room clean and tidy, beds comfortable and the bathroom is clean and tidy . 2 drawbacks are the television is all in Spanish and I tried to change the settings as per instructions from others and Google but it wouldn't let me and the other drawback is the food, although a reasonable selection for both breakfast and dinner the food is cooked but then under lights for however long so cold or nearly cold we went down for breakfast as soon as it was open and the bacon was still cold so where the baked beans I don't usually complain but it put me right off.so we have been eating out instead. Otherwise it's not a bad place to stay tbh
