“Good hotel as long as you drink black tea and coffee😁”

Spacious rooms and good value restaurant attached to buy breakfast, lunch, dinner & drinks. Good location to walk into town.

To be improved

They provide a kettle, tea and coffee but will only give you 2 very small milk sachets per day. When we asked for more he had to ring the manager to ask and then appeared at our room with just a further 2 sachets!

“Good hotel but take your own long life milk!”

The best

Central hotel within easy walk of the cathedral etc. Restaurant at the side is very good value and nice food. Rooms are spacious and en-suites are modern with large shower cubicles. The strange thing was the lack of milk in the room- they provide a kettle, teas, coffee, sugar & sweetener but just give you 2 very small milk portions for when you arrive. Asked at reception on evening 1 for extra milk but he said he didn’t have any. On day 2 the coffee and tea were replenished but this time no milk! Asked at reception when we hot back in the afternoon and the guy said he would have to ask his boss who he proceeded to ring. More milk was granted and the guy said he would bring them to the room. 10 minutes later he arrived with just 2 of the small portions- unbelievable! We went across to Aldi and bought a fresh litre but had trouble keeping it cold as no fridge in the room. The milk issue was not major but very annoying as can’t understand the thinking!

“A good overnight stop on the edge of the town centre”

The best

Excellent welcome and the reception staff were also very helpful with advice about visits. The room was very comfortable and quiet despite looking out onto a main road.

To be improved

The on-site restaurant was a little disappointing both for our evening meal and breakfast.

“Great hotel on value, cleanliness and experience.”

The best

Overall great experience. Very clean. Lots of space in the room and bathroom. Incredible shower!! Very powerful. Carparking is possible on the immediate street and it's free! Good location and easy walk to the old part of town. The room was facing the main road into the town but wasn't a problem for me as earplugs are a norm. Supermarket immediately opposite too was a plus!

To be improved

Nothing stands out as not likeable. Great price. Clean and the best shower I've experienced for a very long time.
