The best

It was a cheap overnight stay. Thankfully, the air conditioning worked and we were able to sleep well. The shower worked well with hot water. It had a bidet, but the water didn't work well. The staff was very nice.

To be improved

We were initially given a room that had not yet been cleaned. However, the staff gave us another room that was ready. The beds were a bit uncomfortable, the bathroom had mold on the ceiling, and the furniture and general structure was old and outdated.

“Room in a large traditional courtyard building. Location was excellent in the middle of Arcos. · Cons: It was a bit spooky - the hotel was virtually closed and there were very few guests. All communication with the owners was via whatsapp and we didn't see anyone. Nonetheless, we enjoyed it.”

“Good location and reasonable value”

The best

A lovely old inn with a certain amount of rustic charm. Facilities were satisfactory. Food was basic but reasonable value.

To be improved

I arrived on a Friday so the locals were in weekend mode and sang until late in the attached bar. If you are a light sleeper this might have been an issue. Alternatively, if you speak a little Spanish you could join in and have a great night!

“Great value traditional family run hotel. No thrills, but no spills either. Would re-visit anytime.”

Old fashioned room which I like. Spacious, clean and simple. Great atmosphere of a traditional family run establishment. Beautiful colonnaded interior courtyard dining room. Extraordinary value lunch - 3 courses and a bottle of wine for 2 - 24 Euros - total.

To be improved

It’s all a bit forlorn in places and has seen better days. Equipment aging in bathroom and poor lighting. You get what you pay for - if you’re lucky. We were very happy with the value.
