“It has the basics, good value hotel.”

The best

Definitely enjoyed the air-con on the very hot days of Salamanca Summers. If you want to come to Salamanca come spring, autumn, very early summer. Winters are very cold so cover up. Food was nice, room clean, bed was nice too, though pillows I did not like much (too hard for my liking). You were 2 min away from everywhere. Will certainly go for this property again next time I come to Salamanca. There is a Leroski supermarket 3min away and tons of restaurants close by.

To be improved

The lift is very small and delicate. I was ok with it but my daughter struggled so used the stairs instead.

“Clean room in a good location.”

The best

Good location in the centre of the city. Clean room and building. Tea making facilities (Only 2 tea bags provided each day, 1 for each customer. No expense spared!).

To be improved

The hotel has different room sizes. My room was the smallest suitable for one person only. To walk around the bed, you had to turn sideways to walk at the bottom of the bed. If 2 people stayed, there wouldn't be the room for 2 large suitcases. The toilet door couldn't be opened too far because it would hit the toilet. The virtual key system used by the hotel is temperamental. It did always let you in the main door but often failed when used to open the room door. Therefore, always take the physical room card with you when you go out. No hotel staff onsite. Everything except the cleaning is managed remotely. There wasn't a refrigerator or safe deposit box in the room. Not that there would be the room for either. On a personal note, I found the bed uncomfortable and had interrupted sleep every night waking with backache induced by the mattress. No face to face interaction with any staff. A smart phone is a must and be IT literate.

Check-in is quite tricky: it is nowhere indicated that if you pay in cash, you have to pay at different hotel. Also, you still have to present IDs even though you have already checked-in online. So don’t bother yourself 2. Rooms are missing some cutlery: you have nothing to stir the provided sugar with 3. No fridge 4. Some construction works began at around 9 AM.”
