“A perfect place for relaxing break.”
The best

The location was perfect. 10 minutes walk to a lovely beach. The hotel is a converted mill and it has been sympathetically restored. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant was amazing. The staff were helpful and friendly.

“Cosy hotel and restaurant but disappointed with service and food”
The best

The garden and restaurant set up are stunning and really well lit up at night making it a very cosy atmosphere. The room was really nice and exactly as shown in the photos.

To be improved

We stayed in El Molí de l'Escala because we wanted to enjoy their restaurant which has a really good reputation. However, we were disappointed at the staff's attitude (they explained there was 2 people on sick leave but they should be prepared for that). We complained about the food and they got a bit defensive. The hotel could do with a lot more cleaning as there was maggots inside the water tank of their coffee machine and when we complained the lady at the reception was defensive saying she found it hard to believe...which was disappointing. We ended up getting a discount which we appreciated but that was after a long discussion and hard work.
