Hotel Monarque Costa Narejos

The hotel was very good and in a great location, right at the bottom of the 'Strip' and 2 minutes from the beach. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The room was okay but perhaps needed a little modernizing. However, the room was cleaned every day the bedding changed and fresh towels left.

Very dated hotel.. everything needs upgraded in my opinion.. bedrooms are shabby, electrics don’t work properly and aren’t the cleanest.. the towels are like rags, so thin and used they don’t dry you properly and the staff on reception could all do with some training on how to smile.. problem with first room we were allocated late on arrival and all lights went out back and forth to reception and moved to another room which we stayed in for 3 nights and I refused to pay the difference.. we had already paid to be upgrade for a superior room for last 4 nights, still waiting to see what was actually superior, dirty balcony, parasol broke and again quite dirty, under the bed was covered in dust.. I would not come to this hotel again and it’s for sure Not a 4 star probably a 2 star old Spanish hotel.. food at breakfast was ok though, but again tired and dated dining room.. very much in need of an upgrade, everything just felt dirty and tired including the loungers round the pool..

Lovely family room with two separate bedrooms which was unexpected as I thought it would be extra beds in a big room. Only had breakfast deal but that was plentiful and enabled us to eat out in evenings Entertainment evenings was limited and most people seemed to go out Pool was lovely and lifeguard very attentive particularly with smaller children

The hotel is very well located close to everything very clean and the staff are very friendly

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times and always find it exceptional. The staff are so eager to please, from the reception, the bar, the life guard to the cleaners, everyone is cheerful and they can't do enough for you.

Breakfast was really nice with a good choice,
