Hotel Montecarlo Spa & Wellness

Very mixed feelings about this place . Let’s start with the good things. The location is awesome , two steps away from the beach, close to restaurants , shops and bars . I’m he bed is quite comfortable and they offer free non alcoholic drinks at the minibar. The staff at reception and cleaning was super nice Let’s continue with the average. The spa is not really a spa . It’s a very small cover pool, a sauna a hamman and a jacuzzi . It’s very small so usually all the seating is taken and you need to go upstairs to the solarium which doesn’t have a shade in the morning. The solution is to skip this and go to the beach :P . The food in the morning is ok but the coffee is terrible . There is no selection, you have black filter coffe quite strong and you are seating, sometimes in very weird spots at the restaurant . And now the bad . The hotel is old and you can see . We were in one of the nicest rooms and the wall paper was in very bad condition . We could not keep the door at the bathroom open so it smelled like humidity because the extractor did not work, the solution was to put some of the spa shoes they gave to us so the door could be open after we showered and stop the smell . All the bathrobes and towels are stain with oxide or broken. You could see that is not stein of lack of cleaning but just because is old and they need to change them. The air con works sometimes, and that is quite annoying because at night the room was incredible noisy. There is noise from outside until 2:00 or 3:00 am every day . You also have a light at the terrace that you cannot control , so at night you need to close the terrace door and the curtains . So when the AC did not work was quite warm. It’s a 4 star hotel because it has a lot of amenities. You get a comb and a shower cap and many other items you do not need but the room and the food is not a 4star hotel. They also offer this a spa and it’s ok, but not really a spa . Because the location is awesome we had pretty good holidays but I will not come back

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was super kind and helpful with booking the spa and the parking with electric charger for our EV. Special shout-out for Miquel (with a q for queso), spectacular vibe. Roses was such a nice surprise overall, super clean and super relaxed ambience. True, most people we saw were of advanced age, I don’t want to say elderly because they were truly vivacious and graceful, I loved to see them enjoying life. Will definitely go back.

Hotel is descent - good location, close to the beach, restaurants and boats excursions. Rooms are very small, good view, but not enough space to keep your stuff. Safe is extra charge - need to buy a big lock on reception. But all drinks in refrigerator are free of charge.

The property was excellent. Food good and varied.
