Excellent location in the heart of the city with easy access to attractions.
Staff were noted to be helpful and pleasant.
Overall a pleasant and comfortable stay, but with some issues.
Felt some rooms were overpriced for the quality provided.
Breakfast was adequate but not outstanding.
Basic breakfast and limited amenities mentioned.
“Close to everything”
Great location: easy walk to everything. Quiet, pedestrian only area. Nearby parking garage, but it can get crowded.
“Enjoy our stay!”
The Hotel Murillo is a hidden gen in Serville old town. The room is basic but the location could not be any better, right in the heart of the old town. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Enjoy our stay!
“Very enjoyable stay.”
Delightful, traditional and convenient for the old town, tourism, eating and general atmosphere.
“Clean, small, and hostel-like experience - staff is wonderful”
We stayed at Hotel Murillo for two days with family, two rooms, with breakfast. I would overall recommend this hotel for a group of friends or a couple looking for a quick respite. Would remind strongly the expectations for a 2-star hotel. While dated and featuring generally aged-facilities, the hotel is very clean and very well managed. Beds were comfortable and well made, and hotel was very safe. The rooms and boarding was more akin to a hostel-like vibe than hotel. The breakfast was pretty decent and the staff always very courteous. Bathrooms are very dated, but very clean. The biggest value is the location and the proximity, as well as staff efficiency. For those booking, please research prices comparable to equivalent rated hotels (stars, not reviews), we felt the price was not worth the experience, but that may have been a seasonal uptick. Their staff is wonderful - friendly, warm, and hospitable. Would recommend researching Murillo suites and apartments, for similar location but much better quality.
“Good location - very good two star rated hotel”
We recently stayed at Hotel Murillo and overall had a good experience, as long as expectations are set correctly for a 2-star hotel. The room was a little dated and on the small side, with a small double bed, but it was very clean and the bed itself was comfortable. We appreciated the daily bottles of water – a really nice touch – and shower gel was also provided. Breakfast was good, with a decent selection of both hot and cold options, and the service was friendly and efficient. The free airport transfer was also a big plus and very convenient. On arrival, the welcome wasn’t particularly warm and our room wasn’t ready, which was a bit disappointing. However, as we were sorting our bags ready to head out, the room became available, which was great. We did pop up to the roof terrace a couple of times for a drink after a day out and again in the evening. It’s a lovely open space with great views, but unfortunately the bar was closed each time. It didn’t seem like the hotel had a separate bar available elsewhere, which was a bit of a shame. The main downside was the noise. Our room was next to the lift and the soundproofing wasn’t great – we could hear people in the corridor, conversations from the next room, and even running water and showers. That said, the location is excellent, within easy walking distance of all the main attractions in Seville. Would we recommend it? Yes – but with the caveat that it is a 2-star hotel, and we would strongly suggest requesting a room away from the lift for a more comfortable stay.
“Perfect place to stay.”
Great location to visit Seville. Rooms were very clean as was the rest of the hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection of food and drinks to choose from. Fantastic hotel to stay at and good value for money - would thoroughly recommend it.
