“We looked for something different and this is different. It's location is stunning and perhaps this hotel doesn'”
Unique
No relaxing space. Breakfast offering needs improvement.
“We had a wonderful dinner watching the sunset. Food was first rate. Staff were very friendly and responsive. Location was incredible. We drove to the Piedra Santos. The view was spectacular. My only regret was that we booked if for only one night.”

“We had a restorative stay… loved the lovely breakfast and having it upstairs with our own little alcove.”
It has a charming character and decor.
The shower/bath water pressure and temperature were not lasting.
“5-Star Phenomenal Staff -Hotel - Restaurant- History”
This is the most bizarrely star-rated hotel we’ve ever stayed at. For whatever illogical and unknown reason, when we looked at this hotel to stay here we noticed it had a “2-star” (two) rating at Booking.com. That concerned us because it wasn’t “cheap” (like a 2-star hotel), but due to the incredible history, location and ambience we decided to give it a shot. The 2-star rating is an absolute joke. For example, the staff at this hotel rival that of any 5-star hotel, anywhere in the world. There is nothing the staff couldn’t or wouldn’t do for us and we could do whatever we wanted (ate wherever, whenever, towels, ice, cappuccino’s outside or to the room - as a small example), luggage moved, free to roam inside and out as if the entire lighthouse/hotel was our own. Cristina who checks you in is awesome. She has a warm smile (great laugh / sense of humor) and she is on top of everything. From arranging taxis, to setting you up in your room to making sure your luggage is there (or is taken out). Then, she jumps in with the other girls, if they get overwhelmed to make sure everybody’s overly happy. She really made our time there special. Fermanda we thought had a twin because everywhere we looked she was there bringing food and/or drinks up and down the stairs, outside, to the rooms (wherever they needed to be). She has a remarkably warm smile and never seemed like she was stressed. I would’ve been overwhelmingly stressed doing everything that she was doing (with her smile). We ate lunch here and the octopus, with the view of the ocean, was to die for. Since it was so delicious we decided to have dinner here as well. That turned out to be a 5-star experience as well. Even down to the incredibly “private select” olive oil, everything was fantastic. Probably the best steak we’ve had in Spain.

“Beautiful place to stay while walking the Camino”
great restaurant, beautiful location, good staff service, bar is good, great views from the bar area a nice place to stay on the camino
“Beautiful location, personnel issues”
Beautiful location to stay at the end of the Camino and very special. The hotelier who checked me in was extremely kind and professional.
Several mistakes were made in the morning. I arrived to the cafe at 9 am when it opened and watched the couple next to me being served a beautiful breakfast, was curtly told myself “you can have coffee, but all I have is cake.” I was served a coffee and one small piece of cake. When I asked to pay my room bill I was told “oh sorry, I didn’t realize you were staying here, breakfast was included, I thought you were from outside.” The staff member handed me a small glass of juice I guess to drink in my room, a warm yogurt, and another piece of the same cake wrapped in foil. I can’t eat yogurt. She charged me for the room and my dinner the night before on my credit card. Then walking away, I reviewed my Booking receipt and realized I had already paid for the hotel when I booked it. I returned and informed her of her mistake-she attempted to have me fix it and ran my card again, but it took about 10 more minutes, the help of another staff member, and running the card several more times to issue the refund. No apologies were made, and I absolutely would have been double-charged had I not noticed the error. This hotel was about twice the cost of every hotel I stayed in during my 3 weeks in Spain. For that price, I would expect a higher level of effort and service. It put a sour note in the end of what was otherwise wonderful Camino hike. The staff needs to be better trained, for them to be charging these kinds of prices.
