Closed at lunchtime. Receptionist not welcoming did not tell us that we could have breakfast we found out my accident .

In the evening we were not allowed in the bar/restaurant as there was a function on Also no hot water in the morning to shower

Staff were rarely available. Hotel was nice but not great. Parking was a scam (charged £30 for 1.5 days in long stay car park which would have been cheaper paying direct). Good location, lovely building but let down by tardy service. Food was nice but pricey (main meal, didn't have breakfast as it wasn't served before 09:00)

On a rainy Monday in March not a lot of options for food in the town. No food in evening at hotel, which could have been a good fall-back
