“A bed for the night only”

Last year and this, they were "sold out" of twin rooms and we had to have a triple and were charged accordingly, even though we are a couple. There is no reception area, so, late afternoon, we had to wait in the middle of a very busy bar, being jostled and ignored, waiting for someone to stop serving and see to us. She reluctantly checked her books, thrust a key in our hands and pointed at the stairs and was gone.
