The best

Nice neighbourhood. Vespa parked happily outside Basic room clean and comfortable if a bit cramped. Fine for an overnight stop. Good shower and comfy bed. The adjoining shared kitchen had a water heater and microwave.. Plates and cutlery were there if you brought carry out.

To be improved

Could have done without the ants.

“A little gem !”

The best

Location was brilliant; just a 10 minute walk into Borja (so about 15 minutes to the pool), an hour by car to Zaragoza and about 40 minutes to Tarazona. Excellent for exploring the region. Parking was a doddle and the hotel was easy to find, especially with the large banner over the front of the property. Beds remade and sheets and towels were changed on a daily basis. David, the host, kept on top of the chores and cleaning. He's also a taxi driver if you feel like letting someone else take the strain. Shared kitchen with use of utensils, plates and glasses, fridge/freezer and microwave but no using the hobs or oven. Las Ruedas restaurant (on the road out of Borja towards Albeta) is well worth a visit for the menu de dia at 15 Euros a pop, with wine - less than 15 minutes walk, albeit along a busy main road.

To be improved

In common with many Spanish properties with hard-tiled floors, sounds travelled easily, throughout the property and so it was possible to hear people coming and going - perhaps because our room was adjacent to the entrance - but this was just a minor inconvenience in what was a superb stay.

“Value for money”

The room was clean and big enough- there was a table and 2 chairs in the room itself. The shared kitchen had a microwave (a little dirty but functional). Not much cutlery, but enough. There was a dishwasher but it wasn't loaded and we didn't use many plates so we just handwashed them. If you have your own coffee pods, there are both dolce gusto as well as the common variety nespresso machines. The bathroom itself was big enough, water pressure just about enough. A whole cupboard to store clothes. Getting there required a bit of calling back and forth on Spanish with the owner, because we were about 15-30minutes later than our projected arrival time due to road closures. So make sure you have a local Spanish number! Overall value for money.

To be improved

The pillows were too soft and flat. But you could prop it up with the spare blankets. Heating not adjustable, so slightly cold.
