“What a unique place for a special Basque experience! In the middle of lush countryside woodland, the location is stunning and amazing for walks and the tranquility of nature. The staff are welcoming, dedicated and take pride in offering guests a generous, authentic experience. Stay half board, the food is excellent for both breakfast and dinner. They have passive solar heating, solar panels, two enormous pigs and they make and sell their own delicious cider! The overall experience is what hotels ought to be: heart -warning and memorable. · Cons: The jacussi in our room didn't work. At least the plug system was broken!”

Pictures in booking.com are so fascinating but when you arrive it’s disappointing; the entrance, the bar, lobby, stairs not clean not beautiful Garden not nice at all The man in the front desk not polite and hospitable The room was not the same as I had booked

Food, frosty welcome. Two blokes running it, one friendly, one not so. The food was incredibly poor.decided not to stop for breakfast.

“We liked Everything. Room, hotel, food was exceptional. Had evening meal, first class and breakfast was excellent. Best value for a Hotel we have ever had. Lovely gardens with stunning views. Just remember that is is a converted Basque Farmhouse and it retains all of its original features. Staff were so nice and attentive even to our dog who thoroughly enjoyed the attention. Would definitely visit again when driving through.”
