Hotel Portofino

We have stayed at this lovely hotel on a number of occasions.Service is first rate and the staff are great.The room in the main building was spotless and well maintained.A nice bar and a good location and a great price, what`s not to like,we will be back

I stayed in Portofino for 3 nights. The location is quite good, surrounded by canals and a short walk to the center & beach. The rooms are on the small side and basic. I really missed having coffee in the room, which means that I had to wait every morning till 8am when breakfast starts just to have one. Breakfast itself wasn't that great, maybe was better before covid19? I really liked the bar though, nice ambience and decent prices. Overall it's a decent and affordable place to stay in a good location.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights.For 50 Euros a night plus taxes it offers very good value.The room was clean and well presented.The shower was a bit odd and needed a bit of getting used to.The hotel is very central being about a 5-10 walk from the beach.The hotel has an Irish bar which is ok and when you order drinks they give you small plates of tapas which is very welcome.We have stayed here before and will return,

Large family room (overlooking 1 of the canals) that could sleep 6 without a problem. Needs renovation but from the noise during the day (on the odd occasion in the room) that appears to be happening. Very friendly helpful staff. Reasonable price

Arrived at the hotel 12th sept for a 6 day stay having stayed over a couple off nights a couple of years ago. Booked directly with them,spoke to Jose who’s English is impeccable.got a great deal for bd and breakfast for 4 of us. Rooms where as great as before canal views and spotlessly clean. Bar and restaurant menus very good. Have to say Jose and his brothers and there staff where and absolute credit to the place. Service prompt and always with a smile.staff doing a variety of different duties around the place all chipping in,even saw Jose in the “pan bash” one morn. Big shout for Aaron a cheeky chirpy waiter whose work ethic and cheerfulness will stand him in great stead as his contract finishes at the end off the month.very best of luck in your ambition lad. Will definitely be returning.

Loved the sizes of both the bedrooms and bathrooms. As expected these older buildings lack maintenance, the jets in the tub did not work. No elevator in second building. But super clean. We did not get to use the pool because we got in pretty tired and late. Pretty near by car to stunning restaurant area.
