Hotel Puerta Gamboa

So nice we didn’t want to leave. Excellent service. Beautiful, clean rooms. Right in the heart of the historical area. The rooms were so comfortable and unique. Lots if bars and restaurants nearby.

The stay here at Puerta Gamboa was above expectation. Fernando made sure that our stay was fantastic and I could not recommend this place higher. The room was well done, clean and the entire place is clearly well looked after. The bed was firm as you would expect and I was happy to see memory foam pillows. The location was perfect to walk the old town and the waterfront. If our travels ever bring me to Vigo again, I will be staying here.

Fantastic location in the old city center. Clever use of space to provide modern comfort and amenities in an old building. Family-owned. Friendly staff, very happy to share tourism information as well as the local culture and economy. Elevator in the building functions perfectly.

Fernando and his father are the owners and incredibly attentive. They serve breakfast every morning and will make eggs any way you want —large amounts and good coffee. We had a flat tire the morning we were leaving and Fernando called the rental company for us and was incredibly helpful. What a blessing!
