The Michelin Guide says a three-star restaurant is “worth a special journey.” Hotel Rector deserves the same distinction. We live four hours away, and the trip was absolutely worth it. This is what a truly exceptional hotel feels like: beautiful design, impeccable taste, warm understated luxury, and a genuinely welcoming and highly professional team. Every detail is thoughtfully considered. Perfectly located within walking distance of Salamanca’s highlights, with a delicious breakfast and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in, the experience was flawless from the welcoming messages before check-in to every moment of our stay. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team. We will certainly return.

We stayed at Hotel rector for one night in January 2026. The experience was fantastic. The staff were so helpful and a special mention goes to Carlos who contacted me the day before our arrival to ask what temperature we’d like the room set at! He was also very helpful in suggesting restaurants and, upon arrival, provided us with a detailed description of the city and a map. The hotel is beautiful and like a large house. Everything is very relaxed and the rooms are excellent!.Definitely the place to stay when visiting Salamanca.

Hotel Rector is a beautiful boutique hotel in The center of everything in Salamanca. The building is older but in immaculate condition the rooms were wonderful, the cost very reasonable, but most important, the staff was amazing. I travel a lot for work and for family, and we’ve stayed at amazing hotels before, but never have I had the pleasure of experiencing such amazing personalized service. For me, service at all other hotels will now be judged against the Hotel Rector in Salamanca. In 4 short days I came to know the owners and staff by first name and we came to have a genuine friendly rapport. More important, they went out of their way to insure everything about our stay was perfect. Thank you Nachi, Elizabeth, Andrea, and Roberto. I look forward to seeing you again in the Spring.

This is a beautiful hotel in a super location. Staff are super attentive and provide exceptional attention to detail in terms of preparing the room and providing little extras. Would highly recommend.
