“Trying but can't quite make it.”
It is a shame because the manager really seems to care. However, food is an important part of our holiday and the restaurant food was simply just bad! Only good point was that hot was hot, and cold was cold. When it came to the taste and the execution of the cooking it was dire. We don't like eating out at night, especially in the winter, so had no choice but to eat in the hotel. One night my evening meal was a cheese sandwich and crisps! I accept that the hotel is not expensive but I don't think the issue was the quality of the food but rather the quality and control of the cooking. Some of the "chefs" on the grill, simply did not have a clue what they were doing. We have stayed many times at other RH hotels and this was the worst food by far. As far as allergies are concerned, be careful. They do try, but again, due to lack of training, can get it spectacularly wrong. A very helpful lady went round with me one night, pointing out what I could and could not eat. I sussed out that she thought I could not have gluten, when in fact, I can't have dairy. I speak Spanish so was able to avoid a potentially health threatening situation. However, that may not be the case for everyone. One a positive note, the hotel is in a great position for the old town. The rooms are pretty basic but I guess you get what you pay for. Nice sea views if you book a sea view room and the hotel has a car park (chargeable as you would expect in a city). I can only recommend if you want a cheep(ish) holiday on a bed and breakfast basis. We checked out after a week although booked for two weeks.

Probably the best holiday hotel we have stayed at. We had 4 lovely weeks here. Very friendly with great staff. Lovely room with excellent sea views. Hotel and room were spotlessly clean. Food was good and varied. The entertainment, organised and run by David, engaged with the guests and was top quality, varied and with a couple of the acts being exceptional! Many guests that we had spoken to were on their 4th or 5th return visit here - which I think says it all!
“Great hotel and staff”
My wife and I enjoyed a week on full board at the Rh Corona Del Mar in February with TUI. We had a room on floor 6 at the rear of the hotel - nice and quiet. A well appointed room and kept immaculately clean daily. For lunch and dinner the dining room has table cloths which are changed after each set of guests - a nice touch. There were other little differences such as baskets for bread rolls which set the Corona dining apart from the standard Spanish holiday hotel. For all meals there was plenty of choice on the buffet both hot and cold and always with two fish and meat options being cooked fresh on the grill. In the evening there were also several themed nights. Food was mostly hot and there was a microwave for those who wanted their food piping hot. There was entertainment each evening as well as other daytime activities. The host David was brilliant and if you like line dancing he teaches dances during the day and then gets everyone up in the evening when the entertainers are singing. Drinks are reasonably priced and the spirit measures are to say the least generous and if you charge drinks to your room there is a 10% discount. The staff in all areas are friendly and helpful and really add to the holiday experience. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel and hope to return before too long.

Was 3rd/4th stay at the hotel but I think I must have been allocated worst room in hotel,room 120.Positioned above fans from kitchen and laundry?but even to top that ,building work was going on so had extreme noise for 3 days of drilling and banging.Would consider going back again but deffinatly not if any chance of being in that part of hotel
“A good hotel with just a touch of class.”
All staff excellent room was cleaned daily to a very good standard.Reception very very helpful.bar staff also. The entertainment not for myself far to noisy. I think rooms with a view south are the ones to have.

Hotel room was good sea view was good bed comfortable maid service very good staff were unpredictable some great and some not so good plus points hotel gave me a bottle of wine for my birthday not so good entertainment not my taste nice position in the resort weather was great when I was there food was good at times and not so good but ok plus points hotel gave free safe you pay 10 euros but get it back on check out water dispenser on every floor was good other hotels should do the same on the whole a good stay
