Hotel Riu Gran Canaria - All Inclusive

The Hotel Rui Gran Canaria abruptly and without my authorization or consent cancelled four confirmed room reservations for December 2026. The ostensible reason for the cancelation was that when the hotel’s reservation service made the reservations they misspelled my given name — “Randell” instead of the correct “Randall”. It was entirely the hotel’s mistake, not mine. Nevertheless, the hotel said that (1) I would not be permitted to check in if the name on the reservation did not exactly match the name on my passport and (2) the only way to correct their mistake was to cancel the reservations and rebook them. I told them that I did not want to cancel without assurances that those charges would be fully refunded and the rebooking could be on the same terms. Nevertheless, the hotel arbitrarily cancelled my confirmed reservations. When I they contacted them, they told me that rebooking the same reservations would now cost twice as much as the original reservations, and the originally reserved rooms with two double beds were no longer available. Although Rui is a reputable company that I trusted to act reasonably when it discovered its own mistake, they have taken no responsibility and have left me with no hotel reservations in a busy holiday season. The hotel should have reinstated the reservations that it arbitrarily cancelled.

Just got back from a week at this wonderful hotel. There were 8 of us and a toddler staying. The staff on reception were all amazing, good informative check-in by Adrian and all our rooms were near each other as requested. Everything is spotlessly clean and considering the amount of rain we had at times everyone worked hard to keep disruption to a minimum. Loved the Rui fit programme, especially the stretching classes. Thank you for a wonderful holiday 🥰

The rooms were lovely and clean, towels changed when you wanted them to be, I would leave ours in the shower tray so they knew. Drinks fridge replenished every two days with 6 can pop, 2 beer and 2 large water. 2 large water on top with tea/coffee facilities. Beds were comfy. Pool towels could be changed at pool daily. Good selection of food in the dining room, atlantico restaurant and pool bar. Endless supply of hot coffee,tea in the lounge. Sports bar are very accommodating for people who like to watch the sports.very friendly staff. Check out is 12 but facilities and food till you leave and lovely changing/showering facilities in the courtesy room before you leave. A lovely hotel.

First visit to this hotel but it won't be our last. I can only endorse all the positive reviews left by other holiday makers. We honestly couldn't find fault with anything. Food, entertainment, pools, bars, maid service, rooms, reception, restaurant and security staff.....all were excellent. Great location too in a lovely resort. Trust me you won't regret making this choice.

Fantastic time at this hotel , the restaurants are amazing, such a lot of choice. All the staff are really helpful and friendly and can't do enough to help. There is a great choice of swimming pools and plenty of sunbeds to go around. Amazing bars so you'll never get short of something to drink. The shows are also very good as the entertainment team work very hard and are great to watch. The location is also very good with amazing views . Would go back no problem

We had a superb few days at RIU Gran Canaria & could not fault it. Great facilities & in a perfect position overlooking the sea. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful, the rooms are comfortable & the food selection/quality was excellent.
