“Avoid this hotel”
The best

Absolutely rubbish. We came here to relax and there are gardeners using very loud chain saws during the day. Apparently they don’t know anything about the electrical ones. We have complained to the management but they haven’t done anything about it.. Avoid this hotel unless you are found of chainsaws .

“Hotel Riu Palace Tres Islas”
The best

Very nice 7-night stay at this Hotel. All staff are friendly and very helpful. Luz at the pool bar definitely looks after people. During our first couple of days and nights, the room felt quite cold, even with extra blankets, but reception handed us an electric fire, which did the job. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.

“Value for money beach stay half board”
The best

Good hotel ( our 3rd visit in 7 years) but rooms a bit tired and dated now; structural damage to balcony evident; patio doors wouldn’t lock which mean wind whistled through at night ; lifts were constantly problematic two out of order during our stay; jacuzzi spa pools in grounds have been removed which was disappointing; photos are still showing them present; also charging for water at dinner seemed a bit mean when cava wine available free at breakfast; hotel on beach and has great views from upper floor rooms; Entertainment in evening mediocre and no shows as such ; no incentive to get up and dance / join in; Tennis courts need attention / repair to perimeter fencing - broken and waving in wind - accident waiting to happen ;hold down straps in the centre of the nets missing; Staff very helpful and pleasant ; everywhere clean and tidy and food excellent

“this hotel feels like it has been lovingly preserved… perhaps a little too well”
The best

Situated in the north of the island, this hotel feels like it has been lovingly preserved… perhaps a little too well. While it is clearly maintained and perfectly functional, it is undeniably dated. The only explanation I can come up with is that it must be an absolute cash cow for both Riu and TUI, because it is crying out for a proper refurbishment. That said, the staff are genuinely lovely and do their best to make the experience enjoyable. The food, whether you are on all inclusive or half board, is decent enough, breakfast included, although if you are hoping for a late cappuccino you will need to take a short trip to the pool bar. Food by the pool is fine for a snack, but not something you would want to rely on for the duration of your stay. The room was reasonably clean and the bathroom perfectly usable, but again very much in keeping with the overall “time capsule” theme. It is about an €8–€10 taxi ride into town, which is easy enough, but worth factoring in. In short: lovely staff, acceptable food, perfectly adequate rooms… but all wrapped in a hotel that feels overdue a makeover. If they ever do refurbish it, it could be fantastic.

“Splendid View, Splendid Beach, Colossal Mess!”
The best

The Riu Palace Tres Islas is a time machine taking you back to the 1970s when hotels were impractical and poorly designed. Let me start by saying that the staff were wonderful and always well-intentioned. But there are so many things that are wrong with the hotel - and not just the flagrant need for refurbishment that many reviews underine. First of all, if a hotel cannot provide water that is drinkable from the tap, then they should at least provide free bottled water in your room. No, the Riu charges €3.05 for bottled water from the minibar. We found that scandalous. Secondly, the hotel is really run down, with the lifts often out of order and frequently shaking as they move. The tiling on our balcony was full of holes and broken tiles, and the door out to it looked rusty and worn out (it broke during our stay). I don't remember what the hotel policy is with respect to pets, but they seem to provide their own pets of a sort: we encountered at least 5 cockroaches in or around our room. It was also impractical to have only one room key - yes, a metal key dating no doubt from the 70s - so we all had to go back and forth from the room together. Food was plentiful -but many of the dishes were bland or soggy or not at all what they were supposed to be. (BBQ sauce for the ribs shouldn't be so watery, for example) and the offer of hot drinks at breakfast was very limited. So was the menu of the pool snack bar. Once again, the room was old but clean, and the beach is magnificent (though you have to pay for the loungers) and if you don't mind cockroaches, then why not? But we will never go back until they refurbish the whole building and change some of their policies.

“Fantastic Hotel”
The best

This hotel is our second home we have been to this beautiful tranquil place for many years ,we do frequently go to fuerteventura and have fallen in ❤️ with the island ,Jandia was our first choice for many years however the tres islas is a short journey from the airport, The beach is one of the best I've ever seen and I've travelled around Australia, The staff are first class especially our favourite lady in the restaurant usually outside is mariella she's been at the hotel for 38 years what a star 🌟 The hotel is spotless the rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need . Food is fantastic 😋 Entertainment is very good especially our favourite lady Paloma, I do agree lately the clients have been up very early taking sunbeds which is not ideal as on holiday you should be relaxing and not putting an alarm on to get up and panic about sunbeds , As I've seen beds with towels on very early and no one has used them till after 12 pm which is very selfish, Can't wait to be back 9th may .
