“This isn't a 4-star hotel”
The best

Good location, decent but basic breakfast. The bed was fairly comfortable and the room was tiny, but clean and functional. I didn't have dinner included in my reservation, but paid for it out of pocket a couple of times (18 EUR during the week, 25 EUR during the weekend) and it was substantially better than the breakfast and worth it, especially on the weekend.

To be improved

The ventilation system was terrible! It wasn't actually cooling the room properly most of the time, regardless of the setting I configured, it only managed to cool the room sufficiently in the middle of the night. But worse than that, the incoming air from the vent smelled slightly of mildew and was quite unpleasant, It was much, much better to sleep with an open window, if it was sufficiently cool outside during the night... Even so, the room itself also had an unpleasant (potentially unrelated) smell. Additionally, while the bathroom was quite clean and nice, it had a sliding matted glass door, which is an interior design choice I generally don't love. The clean towels I got a couple of days in had a few long hairs still clinging to them. And the safe in the room wasn't usable - it didn't have a keypad but a keyhole with a missing key. In summary, this didn't feel anywhere near what a 4-start hotel should be.

“Good hotel”
The best

We got a nice big room on the 6th floor. Food has improved since last stay. Only 2 minutts to the beach and 15 minutts to the trainstation.

To be improved

Some of the staff in reception and bar could need re-training in customer service.

“Exceeded my expectation Superb price quality”
The best

The food ---------------- The food options offered for breakfast, lunch and dinner are so good. Enjoyed everytime. Lunch and dinner are the killers ;) Paella, fish and meat dishes grilled and cooked were my favourites. Thank you for the extra kiiiiiilos. The staff --------------- Food&Beverage staff were superb and always around. Room cleaning service is very good, friendly staff. Cleaning team staff were always visible in the hotel. Front desk staff are friendly. No issues with the check-in process. Always staffed. Especially that guy that speaks Dutch as well. His personal approach is very appreciated and should be noticed. The location -------------------- In my opinion, the hotel is located at the more interesting and better side of Santa Susanna, bordering Malgrat de Mar. Plenty of food options, also the restaurant Aruma in front of the hotel is good. Large shopping area with a Carrefour is at walking distance. Hotel is a bit away from the Santa Susanna train station but within walking distance (900m).
