Staff are very nice and always made you feel at home.
We had a lovely relaxing holiday which was exactly what we needed.
Hotel breakfast was probably the best buffet we have had at a hotel.
Rooms spacious and quiet with a large bed and balcony.
The hotel itself is very clean.
There was an abundance of sunbeds and nice areas around the hotel.
“Clean, comfortable and peaceful”
The rooms were beautiful, they were spacious and clean and had a balcony which got sun in the evening. The pool area is clean and peaceful with many sunbeds so there is no stress about getting a bed. The breakfast was exceptional, so much choice and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful. They had other areas of the hotel with sunbeds too which made natural shade, perfect for an afternoon nap. 30 minute walk into Cala d’or which is broken up nicely by bars on the marina. Small square of shops bars and restaurants a stones throw from hotel so no need to go into town every night. Beach club opposite gave a young vibe and where we went most days
The general age group for the hotel is of an older generation. The decor inside was old and rigid which made us not want to go to the bar area or the restaurant for dinner. We went out each night as the entertainment was also dated
“Excellent and very relaxing.”
Breakfast was excellent, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the bed was really comfy.
We requested a double bed and to not be on the ground floor and unfortunately didn't get either of these things, but this is not an issue with the hotel (but probably just what they had available).
“Adults only. Beautiful place”
Beautiful clean and.friendly hotel. Staff are very nice always made you feel at home. Live music every night. Even though we went at the last work of closure for the season they still put on live music every night.
“Relaxing”
Went on a jet2 holiday to the hotel Rocamarina for 8 days at the end of October. We arrived early afternoon so after we had unpacked we went out for something to eat. 5 minutes walk from the hotel took us to their beach bar which is situated in the lovely cove of Cala Egos. There was a reasonable choice of food at average prices and the location was superb. We weren’t rushed and sat there with drinks enjoying the view and lovely weather. Sunbeds were available on the beach at a charge of €16.95 for 2 sunbeds with parasol. Straight up from the beach is a centre with restaurants bars and shops, very pleasant and a good choice of places to eat. Unfortunately a lot of places had started closing for the season and by the end of our holiday there wasn’t a lot of places open. We did eat at the hotel a couple of times and the food was excellent. In hindsight sight we would have paid for half board (we had B/B) it was 22€ pp for an evening meal, which was buffet style with plenty of choice and excellent quality. Breakfast was probably the best buffet we have had at a hotel, the choice was unbelievable with choice of hot, cold, pastries, porridge, fruit, yogurts, bread, etc., and omelettes cooked to order. The hotel itself was very comfortable and our room large with settee and very big bed and balcony with table and chairs. There was an abundance of sunbeds, round the pool, in the garden and also on a sun terrace. We had a lovely relaxing holiday which was exactly what we needed and we would have no hesitation in going there again. It is a taxi ride away from Cala d’Or centre, where we went a couple of times, cost €7 each way. We also took the land train 5€ each which was a pleasant (but bumpy) ride round the marina and nearby area.
“NICE HOTEL WRONG LOCATION”
We had a nice stay at this hotel at the tail end of the holiday season. The hotel was a little empty especially towards the end of our holiday. The resort itself is a little hilly and therefor difficult for people with mobility issues with what is a short walk to the marina becoming difficult due to steep hills. We found the nearby group of shops and restaurants a little tacky for our liking with the place inundated with families, as was the nearby small beach, considering this was out of season I can imagine what it is like in season. The nearest bus top is two roundabouts away and the land train is a short walk away and does not accept cash. As a family it is actually cheaper to use a taxi which is 6 euro to the town centre. We spent most of our time at the marina or the old town on a night as the hotel slowly emptied. The hotel itself is very clean, rooms spacious and quiet as we had a upper garden room. The majority of the staff are friendly and helpful with the odd exception. The initial talk by a staff member on your first visit to the restaurant about all the does and don'ts is totally unnecessary as people walk by wearing scruffy shorts and tee shirts for an evening meal. So yes there is no dress code. The cooked food at the breakfast is a little poor but there is plenty to eat, The evening meals were good. The entertainment we saw was better than some hotels we have stayed at. The whole hotel is a little dated and could do with an upgrade. Would we stay at the hotel again yes if it was nearer the centre of Cala d'or but on the basis of where it is no.
“Our stay at hotel Rocamarina”
We had a lovely relaxing stay at the Rocamarina.Even though it was towards the end of the season all the facilities were spot on!!The food was lovely but sometimes it could have been hotter but still tasty and a great selection!!All the staff were very friendly and great at their jobs from reception, catering, housekeeping and bar staff.I did think the drinks were a little expensive but there was a varied selection to choose from The only one thing that spoiled our stay was the swimming pool was freezing but maybe that was because the season was coming to a close. All in all we had a nice relaxing break.
