Multiple praises for the hotel's location and proximity to attractions.
Generally positive feedback about attentive staff, though some mention of slow service during meals.
Despite some issues, many guests enjoyed their stay and found it pleasant.
Good amenities overall, though lacked certain items like a kettle.
Price seems justified for the location and amenities, despite some drawbacks.
Mentioned as spacious but concerns over cleanliness, especially regarding air conditioning.
“Lovely old world hotel with lovely views.”
Recently stayed her for the Easter weekend ,had a lovely stay ,it's got fantastic old Spanish charm with beautiful pieces of furniture and antiques dotted around the property, the staff was amazing and very friendly, the breakfast was very varied and catered for all ,I especially liked the Panini maker but was disappointed with the juice.i really wrote this review because only one thing really took from the weekend and it might seem trivial but I think it impacts the areas "vibe" ,on the strip there are plenty of souvenir shops that sells t-shirts and women's underwear with very crude and vulgar sex references on them, they are everywhere anf in your face.I personally think that these displays demean the area ,they are aimed at a certain type of tourist who I'd like to think lloret de mar doesn't need or want.Lloret de mar deserves better...
“The stay was nice! The woman at reception the night we arrived rude. She told me we did not say we were bringing a dog and I literally had a return email from the hotel welcoming the dog. We almost left. · Cons: Everything else but her! The woman in the morning lovely”

“Dated. No security”
We stayed 3 nights. First impressions were excellent, lovely looking hotel, and the pool area was amazing, big pool,,bar, restaurant great view. And this literally saves this hotel. Friendly reception. The room was at the end of a dingy dark corridor. Room was dull, very outdated decor. Bed was hard, and noisy due to old spring mattess, pillows long and narrow. We were next to where delivery and bin collection is made, and during night so annoying. Bath was lower than floor when stepping in for weak shower so not very good if are not steady. Worse thing was security, doors to balcony didn't close, and were held by a small bar thing, gentle push and it opened, it was easy to access our balcony from road. Location was good. Short walk to beach, shops and restaurants, and you don't have to go the way of 180 steps as said in other reviews. Super market very close. Bus station is a 20 min walk, ideal for days out to lovely tossa, or trip to Barcelona. Not expensive.
“Full of Character, but Not Worth the Price”
The Roger de Flor in Lloret de Mar has undeniable charm — the hotel feels more like an overcrowded family home, filled with plants and eclectic objects scattered across walls, floors, and surfaces. Our suite on the top floor was only accessible by unsafe stairs, with an empty fridge and décor that felt straight out of the 70s or 80s. The highlight was a large balneo bath in the middle of the room, though it added more quirk than comfort. Practicalities were mixed: parking is restricted (though some shaded spaces are available), and access down to the sea, while offering a lovely view, involves a steep descent that isn’t suitable for everyone. The pool area was genuinely pleasant, surrounded by flowers and trees, creating a peaceful retreat. Unfortunately, the service and food let the experience down. The buffet was overpriced if booked separately, with bland food and lukewarm staff service. Perhaps this was due to end-of-season fatigue, but it left an impression. Overall, while the hotel has character and charm, it struggles to justify its price point. At best, it delivers a 3-star experience — albeit with some pretty views.
“Pretty hotel but flaws”
I never write reviews. I am tolerant and accepting, not moany but wanted to write this. First impression of hotel is lovely. Very pretty. Friendly helpful staff, nice pool and bar area. Breakfast good. However. Hotel is tired and FULL of furniture and paintings, far to cluttered and I'm not a minimalist! No lock on balcony door. Hotel have drilled a hole in the wall for door latch to fit into to make a lock. Made a very loud bang to 'lock' and 'unlock' door. Poor neighbours. No privacy on balconies. Can see into neighbours rooms if you want to. A bamboo partition would work well. I paid extra for superior room, not sure what an standard is like. Strong smell of sewage in corridor daily. 115 steps to gain access to hotel, not mentioned anywhere. Made the most of the holiday but would not go back here or use Love Holidays as a provider.
“A pleasant stay”
Personal travel advisor.....here's my honest review. This hotel has by far the prettiest outside spaces ie the pool and terrace, both very chilled away from the hustle and bussle with beautiful views. We did bed and breakfast and would say its good value for money. Desk staff were polite and helpful. I would describe the inside as a quirky mix of old and new with a little shabby sheek. We stayed in room 418 which had a lovely size balcony with nice views (we were upgraded to this room so very happy) however if I had had to pay extra for that room Im not sure if would have done it ! Why well the main reason was the pungent smell that came from the bathroom most days ! If the room was cleaned and just aired its not so noticeable but when you come back in the afternoon its quite off putting when you want to use the bathroom and if you left the door open the smell crept into the room. Im not looking for perfection so it would not ruin my holiday but 3 of the chairs were broken to some degree the comfy seater I nearly fell through when I sat down was all ripped underneath, I was nervous the dressing table chair would break as it really didn't feel secure as was one of the chairs on the balcony , I would stay here again for the views alone and the pool area and location, even though it has many steps to the beach you can access the beach through the sister hotel lifts which was a God send. All in all good value for money
