“Loved Junior!!”
Great location just off train station. The enitre staff was friendly, helpful but Junior was extra friendly, helpful. Always had a smile, made us feel so upbeat and happy.
“Great for the Camio de Santiago”
My 3rd stay at the Roma. The hotel is in a perfect position facing the railway station which is a stress free way to get there from Santiago. It’s a short walk to the Camino route although it’s away from the pilgrim area on the hill. On balance I prefer to stay here. The hotel is an icon of more glamorous times but still provides a comfortable place to stay for walking the Camino. There is a bar and terrace next to the reception, a €5 laundry bag service, which is perfect for pilgrims and a very helpful receptionist. The rooms are excellent. My favourites are either end of the building where some are much larger. I had a corner suite (208) on the rear which was great, but the ceiling heat source was very noisy and seemed ineffective - it was fine in the room across the hall (209 - a front corner) but I opted to remain in the larger room even though in November it was a little chilly. The restaurant on the lower ground floor has an amazing range of dishes, specialising in fish and grilled meat. A super wine list. Perhaps the best restaurant in Sarria.
“Great location, clean and comfortable.”
The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very nice and professional and is in a good location.

“Super value”
Clean; spacious room. Great AC. Wonderful bed
You need to attend a college course to learn how to operate the shower control system.
“Room was comfortable although toilet was faulty”
Friendliness of female receptionist as well as the friendly young man in coffee shop.
Rude Older Gentlemen who was in charge of the coffeeshop in the morning!
“AWFUL EXPERIENCE - AVOID THIS PLACE”
Avoid this restaurant unless you want to be treated in a very rude and disrespectful way by the owner/manager. One person with a chef hat goes around tables treating customers in a very rude way, his staff seems to be frightened of him. The food was average at best. Overall, a nasty experience. There are better restaurants in Sarria without having ro endure an uneducated, grumpy manager.
