“Nice old fashioned hotel with some quirks.”

The best

We stayed for 4 nights in a superior ocean view room. The view is as nice as the photos and we spent a lot of time enjoying it from the balcony. This is clearly the offseason though, so the area has the potential to be crowded. We booked direct, which included parking, slightly off-site but you can stop in front to unload/reload. The room we had was quite spacious, with room to relax. The bathroom also was spacious, with a real tub (albeit not a huge one). Housekeeping was very good. There were some annoyances, though. The glasses in the room were never changed, though we got fresh towels AND fresh sheets every day. The bed was two singles pushed together, and made separately, aggressively so. I.e., there were two sets of single sized sheets, tucked tight in the middle. So if you wanted to, you know, sleep next to your partner, you had a big mess of untucked sheets and untucked bedspreads right in the middle of the bed. I'd much rather they used king sheets, with a little gap under them, as we've had in numerous European hotels. Also while we liked the pools, we were very surprised that no pool tools were made available, and we were discouraged from bringing them from our room. With airline luggage allowances constantly shrinking, I have no room to bring bulking towels. Finally, when we had neighbours who smoked on the balcony, it was hard to avoid and unpleasant. Honestly I didn't see non-smoking signs in the room, and I didn't think to ask when we reserved, but if it's important to you, ask. Overall, a comfortable if slightly tired place. I'd give a lot for that view and that location, but be aware of the limitations to avoid disappointment.

“A hotel I'd not hesitate to recommend 👌”

The best

A fabulous trip to a hotel I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Kind staff who went out of their way to be helpful. Clean and comfortable rooms with great balcony views over the beach and sea. A well priced and delicious lunch. Nice complex of pools for whatever weather you face.

To be improved

The opening hours of the hotel bar are confusing and service could be slow because staff were overrun with tasks. Suggest having clearly delineated bar and restaurant staff to help this issue.

“Beautiful local beach”

The best

The property is in a great area and the beautiful cove beach area is right out front. The only thing lacking is the restaurant next door, it isn’t best but there are many other food options around. The room was big and comfy. The hotel staff was very nice but did lack a bit when asked to help out on certain things. Overall, good couple days spent at the hotel and would return again.

“Avoid - high price - low value”

The best

Avoid this hotel! Not good value for money. There are other hotels in the area that are much better. We booked a room for four adults and the room was extremely small with a pull up bed. You are asked to pay upfront and refused a refund. No manager in sight. Several guests complaining but the manager refused to talk to anyone and no solutions offered. In the end the guests gave up which is this hotels modus operandi. I guess it works when the guests are passers by that will never return.
