The best

We had the perfect stay at Hotel Rural El Sestil. It is a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature and mountains. The rooms are comfortable and spotless, the owners are warm, friendly, and welcoming. The breakfast was good!..10/10 recommend for a quiet stay in the mountains

“A lovely stay in an idilic location. Views and mountains as far as you can see! Great hiking.”
The best

We had a two night stay to ensure that we had a full day of hiking. The staff were excellent and really really helpful. I always want to practice my Spanish and they were willing to let me try my best and if I got stuck they were able to help me out a little. We discussed some walks and also ate one night in the restaurant which was superb. We had the mountain stew which was perfect after a full 8 hours in the beautiful mountains. We didn't see anyone else for the whole day which was brilliant. Just watch out for the sheep dogs if you take your own dog, and keep your distance (we did).

To be improved

The wall and floors are all timber so you can hear your neighbours. On the first night our neighbours decided to rearrange all their furniture, on the second night our neighbours decided that they wanted to get to know each other a bit better... Have some ear plugs at hand! You should still stay here though, it's an amazing place.

The host had prepared 3 different casseroles for our group of 8 riders that was a warm meal greatly appreciated even though we were late arriving.
