“Dreadful stench ruined our visit so difficult to rate what could be charming and different stay”
Off the beaten track guest house amongst the olive trees, very pleasant ,hardworking and anxious to please lady that seems to run the property. Drinks mainly reasonably priced, although not much of a wine selection during our visit, but we did enjoy the one we had, as we did the jug of Sangria brought to us outside on the patio, before our evening meal and our post dinner drinks . We had a tasty freshly made Paella served in the pan.
Our stay didn't get off to the best of starts, had booked superior twin room months before only to find given a small room with a small double bed. Language barrier but queried in French why hadn't they had the courtesy to let us know and given us opportunity to cancel and go elsewhere. She seemed to understand this but here we were miles from anywhere & this the only room available !!! however she proceeded to look after us well with drinks and meal. HOWEVER THE BIG PROBLEM HAPPENED when we retired to bed after lights out, entering the room the sewage smell was just dreadful, not just a wiff, completely knocked me out , stuck in throat and no way I could stay in the room. Living on a small holding and having worked on farms I can be pretty tolerant of smells but never known anything like this. It was the first room upstairs on the balcony . Found a wicker sofa, in a room they were using to dry and hang out washing. & got some sleep but had to return to our room about 4am to use the toilet, no change still just as bad and again in the morning when although due to stay a 2nd night, we moved on and at time of writing are still awaiting a refund for the 2nd night via Booking.com

“The pool and the restaurant were definitely the highlight. The food was amazing, and for the price of the hotel, it is extremely good value. · Cons: The only thing missing in my opinion was a mini-fridge in the room.”

“Charming rural house, with pool and patio. Staff is friendly and provides also home-made food (breakfast and dinner). Access to the house is via a 1km-long unpaved road but in good condition (no need for 4W drive), through olive trees. Strategic location between Malaga, Sevilla and Cordoba.”

“Very secluded and look for the signs to Casa Rural. A peaceful haven which we thoroughly enjoyed on a cycling trip. Carmen is Fab! She can’t speak much English but that’s half the fun ! Food is great and they can’t do enough for you If you are looking for a secluded retreat this is perfect. There is literally nothing local to the hotel so unless you drive then everything is hotel based.”
